Interesting find: Talking Piano
Thursday October 7, 2009
I was looking for interesting animated tangible projects this week and found this incredible "Talking Piano". The Austrian creator of this piece, Peter Ablinger, used a standard mechanical piano and rigged it to replicate a child's voice.
In this case, the notes of the piano are used as a kind of speaker: they are almost perfectly controlled to send specific frequencies, to the point where a spectator can distinguish a voice output. The voice is reciting the Proclamation of the European Environmental Criminal Court at World Venice Forum 2009.
